Jennifer has always expressed herself through singing, and has had the pleasure of working with some of the finest musicians in Australia. She read music at the University of Queensland and taught singing in secondary schools and at a Brisbane based dance company. Jennifer has toured both nationally and internationally, highlights being a trip to the Edinburgh Festival in 1993, and another, to the New Zealand Big Band Festival in Auckland in 2011. Jennifer organised many concerts at the Brisbane City Hall. Particularly memorable was a Christmas concert she and her husband Ian Cocking performed with trumpeter John Hoffman, and a very talented young french horn ensemble under the direction of Peter Luff, a Senior Lecturer at the Conservatorium of Music - a total joy to be part of. Since moving to Tasmania, 7 years ago, Jennifer and Ian have enjoyed being involved in music making at many Tassie Festivals and Clubs. At the Easter Huon Music Festival 2023, we will combine with the talents of Louise Denson on piano and Aaron Entrez, one of Australia’s finest young guitarists; and much fun to be had by all.
